THESIS CHEMISTRY APPOINTS DR. WILLIAM C. VINCEK AS CHAIRMAN OF ITS SCIENTIFIC ADVISORY BOARD
MISSISSAUGA, ONTARIO—December 16, 2002—Thesis Chemistry Inc., a provider of innovative Chemistry, Manufacturing and Control (CMC) development services to the pharmaceutical industry, has appointed Dr. William C. Vincek as Chairman of its Scientific Advisory Board (SAB).

Peterson, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Thesis Chemistry. "Dr. Vincek's extensive pharmaceutical background and knowledge of chemical development and regulatory guidelines will be instrumental in expediting customer projects from research scale to commercial manufacture and in developing proprietary chemical production processes."
Dr. Vincek brings approximately 20 years of industry experience in pharmaceutical development and regulatory affairs from positions at Merck Sharp and Dohme Research Laboratories, SmithKline and French Laboratories, SmithKline Beecham Pharmaceuticals, Glaxo Wellcome and Guilford Pharmaceuticals. He currently holds the position of Senior Vice President, Pharmaceutical and Chemical Development at Guilford Pharmaceuticals. Dr. Vincek received his Doctorate and Masters of Science degrees from the University of Kansas.
